affirmations for women

Sometimes I wonder how I'm surviving this life. Some days it feels like I'm backed to a wall. Other days feel like nothing can go right. Giving up has never been an option because I have someone who depends on me and whom I love more than life.

I keep moving forward, through whatever is in front of me. I tell myself that I have a great life, and this rocky phase is just a bump in the road, and it'll pass. Like every single rocky phase before this.

If by any chance, you're struggling in any way, I'm writing this for you. And for me too.

I've carried a lot before, and I still do, most days. And I don't really share my struggles, because people expect me to be okay. People expect me to be strong. Because I have always been. But being strong is tiring.

As a single mom, I've had a fair share of good times and not-so-good times. I've tried to make something out of my life for my son and I, and I think overall life has been good. It could be a million dollars better, but we're doing okay.

Moving forward. Digging deep for strength. Surviving on pure resilience. Sometimes, you realize that no one's coming to save you. If there's help, then that's great, but even then, you get embarrassed if you've asked too many times. So you don't have a choice, you just have to keep going. You need to make things work.

Personally, I have to constantly psyche myself up. I might be having a rough patch, but it's no excuse for me to curl up in bed and not do anything. I don't have that kind of luxury.

What has helped me, though, is reading something that I've seen somewhere or heard someone say. It makes me feel better when I say them out loud when I'm driving, in the shower, before I fall to sleep. Or moments when self-doubt starts taking over.

I write them down, and I say them so much, I've memorized some of them.

Anytime negativity creeps into my head and I just want the ground to open up and swallow me whole, I just say a couple of affirmations. Basically, to remind myself that I am more than the problems I have or the situations I'm in.

That's what affirmations are.

They're not magic. And your problems won't magically disappear. But they reframe your thoughts and change your perspective to help you see things more clearly. And sometimes, a tiny moment of clarity can help you find solutions, give you a push, or a nudge to keep doing what you're doing.

They remind you of who you truly are, and not what your doubts or thoughts tell you who you are.

They help shift your thoughts to lift you up rather than dragging you further down.

And that shift, can be everything.

So here are 269 short affirmations for women. These affirmations are grouped into different areas of life that we might need help with;

Why They Help

Because repetition sticks. And that's literally how your brain works.

If you keep thinking something over and over again, your brain starts to believe it. Even if it's not helpful. Even if it's cruel.

So what if you planted new thoughts?

Not in a way to fake your way through anything. But to give yourself a moment of peace in a day that's already demanding so much of you.

Think of affirmations as tiny acts of kindness to yourself. For yourself.
